That's gonna be a hard no for me on getting rid of teleworking. The two hours I save on my telework days before and after work allow me to keep my house and family functioning with laundry, meals, and more. In the before times my anxiety and stress were way higher because the 40 hour work week is injust to begin with. It's built on the assumption that there's a domestic partner at home doing everything else.

Second, what was missing is the land use context. The researchers chose the highest count routes to study, but high counts means that's probably an activity center with restaurants and retail and therefore more shift and delivery workers. if these are in any way categorized as "recreational" that's creating a potential issue
There was a current and future trends in cycling session at #trbam that sought to categorize pandemic trips by "recreational" or "utilitarian". First, language matters. To electeds, "recreational"= nice to have the less of a funding priority.
Today, riding my kid around on our new ebike in my newish neighborhood I felt very much like the Duck in this story given the reactions and looks from my neighbors that we saw on our trip.

Thanks to @bikepedantic for the book gifted to said kid.
