Starting the slow trip to Adelaide!

Booked a day train and first class hoping to get some work done, but forgot these trains are too old to have power at the seats… hopefully can find some somewhere.

@jroper Are you in the regular first class seats or the Daysitter seats (ie the sleeper seats during the day?). Each of the DaySitter cabins in Car A has one power point. I always ring up to book a window DaySitter seat on the daytime train. See if an attendant could reseat you in a cabin if there's a free seat.

@jroper Good luck! Are you off to Adelaide on the Overland after this?

@timrichards I’m taking the night bus. I figured I’m an ok sleeper so might as well save some money vs going XPT sleeper and Overland (also the Overland days were a bit restrictive).

@jroper Bus! [gasp] Pity the Overland is so infrequent, should run at least three days a week. The Vic government should take it over and run it more frequently IMO.

@timrichards one can hope! I wonder if the day or night bus service is more popular. It’s about 80% full tonight.

I think Firefly probably appreciate that a consistent daily schedule is easier to plan around, and benefits their ridership in the long run vs like, cutting Tuesday night service because it’s always empty.
