If I email you about a prickly matter where we’re all best served by keeping everything on the written record, an immediate phone call response tells me that you are 99% going to try to do me wrong.
my blue-sky idea is buses in exclusive lanes every 3 minutes.
"New" cities are always gonna suck, and have to resort to gimmicks to move people around, as long as we treat universal stress-free motor vehicle access to them as a nonnegotiable need.

1. I'm gondola-agnostic, but if it's just replicating a road or transit, we're just paying to not do what's right.

as far as i can tell, Barcelona's traffic engineers take a layered approach. the first layer is that most of the streets are one-way. this immediately eliminates a particularly dangerous form of traffic (left turns across oncoming traffic). it also means that they can put the crosswalk on the "oncoming traffic side" of intersections, so all turning vehicles are turning **away** from where the pedestrians and cyclists are crossing.
Piecing together a summer childcare plan where, so far, I have two (2) weeks so far where I can theoretically work a 40 hour week. I have three weeks where I have absolutely no childcare.
Fuck this.
