Knee-jerk impressions re bluesky after less than 24 hours:

*the platform is basically a twitter clone - QTs, algorithm alongside feed, conversations easier to follow
*you can build your own algorithm (which i'm not even going to try)
*the bluecheck discourse enjoyers are there
*very few mere mortals are
*there is an app, you can block people, so... that's a leg up on Post
*not a whole lot of followback action

once they open registration, it could get popular, we'll see.

This trend of the Saudis buying America’s dumbest assets is kinda fun actually! What should they buy next?

Any of you beautiful nerds thrown together a Mastodon-to-Bluesky crossposter yet?

S2E2 "Fucking brain development." It's remarkable how great the Roy Kent storyline away from the team is in season 2, vs the Nate and Keeley storylines in season 3.

S2E1 Ted's response on the dais about Earl the dog's death walloped me square in the grieving gland. Beautiful and poignant.

Saw a really cool extension to the Montreal BIXI stations: bike pump and repair stations. Would be cool to see Bluebikes do something similar. Seems like a potentially cheaper/easier way to get more of these installed throughout the region.

Paving streets with asphalt and sidewalks with concrete is really kind of backwards.

I wish we've give drivers the pockety-pockety ride, give pedestrians a smooth more-pliable surface, and give everyone a lot more of a light-colored surface to reflect heat.

Born on this day, June 6:
Dr. Paul Dudley White (1886-1973), cardiologist. After prescribing cycling for President Eisenhower after his heart attack, Dr. White became America's most prominent advocate of cycling for preventative health.

S1E8 I always liked how subtly they hinted at the Roy-Isaac connection that led to Isaac being named captain. This small little salute greeting was the first hint.
