The catch is that it's ugly, massively unnecessary, and would be illegal under #NHTSA's proposed "Pedestrian Head Protection Standard" that might only become law if we keep pressuring lawmakers to care about saving lives?

@cinebox it's ostensibly designed for military use, but that doesn't make it safer, nor does it mean it won't end up in civilian hands
