Evergreen reminder: The demonstrated success of systematically reducing speed limits DOES NOT diminish the need to redesign streets. Do the easy things now while working on the hard things too. (ht @GaryEckstein ) autoweek.com/news/technology/a

@bikepedantic @GaryEckstein related to the people complaining about the Danehy-New Street connector being too easy last night, even as the city works on the hard connections that they were asking for

@Cambikelanes @bikepedantic @GaryEckstein
-Waste of money bc its redundant with biking through Danehy
-Too easy of a project, getting cheap bike path miles [!?]
-Focus on underpass to Rindge (Towers) [something city is working on and would be awesome, but also this project would make that better and more obvious]
-This should just be trees
-Why make more park space, there is a park nearby?/Who would want to sit in the alcove as presented when they could be in Danehy?

@Cambikelanes @bikepedantic @GaryEckstein it's a project with a bunch of new trees/plantings in a place with poor plant life and would encourage the city to actually maintain them going forward
