How did I not know about ‘The Mitchells vs the Machines’ til now? Instant kid-movie classic.

@bikepedantic We watched it like 6 months ago and my kids somehow still quote it.

@bikepedantic Having a kid late in life meant I missed a lot of this sort of thing. I had never heard of the Princess Bride until recently. But, my favorite discovery is The Triplets of Bellville, which involves bicycle racing. It's brilliant.

@bikepedantic My kids are too young for it still, but I watched it by myself as a grown man and really enjoyed it.

@dx very entertaining for this adult, too. The artistry of the animation in particular blew me away

@dx @bikepedantic also watched it without kids, as a group with friends all watching from our houses and discussing it live on discord. Best movie I've seen in a long time.

@bikepedantic belated thread follow-up - on this recommendation, I checked the DVD of "Mitchells vs the Machines" out of the library earlier this week (yay I love that I don't have to sign up for Netflix to watch the occasional N flick), and enjoyed it with the kids. Then tonight I heard there was an outdoor showing of the film on the Fitchburg extension, organized by a Facebook cargo bike group!
