I'm not likely to sign up with threads, but this explainer from @Mastodon has me kind of rooting for federation. Feel like we each have the tools to let Meta enhance, ruin, or leave unchanged our experience here.

@bikepedantic @kcivey @Mastodon Obviously up to your instance, but as I think @peter has shared as well, there's minimal downside to federation. If it works well, awesome. And if it doesn't, then defederate and you're back to where we are now.
