@bikepedantic Remote desktop software has made this kind of thing so, so much easier. (The day Apple added remote-connect-to-apple-id was possibly the best remote tech support day ever)
@bikepedantic having a high school intern start last week killed me in this regard. No excel skills, no search engine skills, and had never used a Mac. Hell.
@bikepedantic When I'm doing free tech support appointments at the library, the patrons are like 90% 70+ years old and many of them have children who work in the tech industry but get frustrated trying to help their parents so they come to me instead 😊
