The greater travesty than the insulting $2K fine for killing someone is the fact that his license will be suspended for not more than six months, AND HE MIGHT STILL BE EMPLOYED AS A PROFESSIONAL DRIVER

"If you kill someone, you should not be employable doing the thing where you killed someone" seems like low hanging fruit.

@bikepedantic I once had a tow truck drive show up to take away a car I was selling. In our 5 minute conversation he let me know he recently got out of jail for killing someone when his job was driving a dump truck.

It's pretty remarkable he actually went to jail for negligent driving and even more remarkable he got a job as a commercial driver immediately after finishing his sentence.
