I am in the office today. The primary difference between today and my normal workday is a) I'm less productive, and b) the only thing my officemates and I have talked in-person about is how dumb the return-to-office policy is.
@bikepedantic Do not forget your CEO/CFO/COO ticking off a box next to "see, this huge commercial lease I signed is justified!"
@bikepedantic at least you provided one more bike for any bike counters you passed along the route!
@crschmidt @bikepedantic there are some along Garden today
@bikepedantic glory to the commerical real estate industry
@bikepedantic I’m old enough to remember when you could get lunch and only contribute $5.
(One of these days we should grab lunch.)
@Ofsevit @bikepedantic back when spending $8 was kinda spendy and you wondered if it was better to get 2 five-dollar-foot-longs?
@bikepedantic @Ofsevit some of us had to make those footlongs into a few meals :|
@bikepedantic @andr_w circa 2013 the Clover truck in Kendall was $5 including tax, cash only.
Those were the days!
Also:
Tired: 2 feet of new subway $10
Wired: 2 miles of new subway for $10
@bikepedantic @Ofsevit now i'm remembering the weeks of ramen breakfast-lunch-dinners after graduating grad school before finding a job...shudder.
Now i am off to contribute my $13 to the local fast-casual lunch retail economy. So this is all worth it after all.
