I’ve been reading Simon Reeves’ travel memoir Step by Step, and I was nodding my head at this section in which he talks about how lucky we are to be living in an era when it’s so easy to travel so widely, in relative safety. And why that means we should try to travel to new places rather than heading to the same old destinations where we jostle with the same people looking for the same Instagram photos. Well said.

@timrichards @travelfish A great sentiment. Fits well with intentionally choosing slow and sometimes awkward ways of travel, like trains and bikes. Constraints and difficulty leading to discovery.
