I made a thing (with help from my googly overlords).
I can proudly say that I'm a far better researcher & educator than I am a web designer or self-promoter.
@DrTCombs This is a little clunky: "disseminating policy- and practice-practice oriented research"
@DrTCombs Not sure who your target audience is for your page, but this is pretty wonky: "the environmental determinants of travel behavior and vehicle use"
@DrTCombs The way you're using hyphens here I have only seen before in Afrikaans. I would just insert the word "oriented." It reads more clearly that way, e.g. "I conduct policy-oriented research and practice-oriented research," or "I conduct research that is both policy-oriented and practice-oriented." FWIW, the differentiation between the two is fuzzy for most people. If "practice" means the implementation of the policy, then it's "research on policy and its practical implementation."
@pleaseclap @dx @HayiWena what are your thoughts on the policy of practicing practice though?
@DrTCombs I would specify *which* "Lincoln University". There are several, at least two of which are HBCUs(!), though from the "Faculty of..." formulation I suspect you mean one of the ones outside the US...
@swiderski ahh, yes, thank you!
(I'm also a better researcher & educator than I am a proofreader so PLEASE holler at me if I wrote anything nonsensical)
