@William_Robison @DrTCombs Massachusetts recently implemented a 3-foot passing law. My experience to date is that the people who were already giving me 3 feet are now giving me 5, and the people who weren't still aren't. But, early days.
@DrTCombs In my opinion wide outer lanes are actually anti-cycling infra...they make the road less safe by encouraging drivers to overtake unsafely.
@DrTCombs I’m so sorry! I had a couple of similar experiences in south Durham today — a third of a mile on Hope Valley Road with a minuscule shoulder, and then a really scary 1.5 miles in the unprotected bike lane on MLK Drive. Cars so close & so fast! 😢
