@DrTCombs our problem now is finding the funds for it. Target is uphill both ways, about 2 miles away. Aldi is only 1.5 miles away, again uphill both ways. An ebike saves us the climbs. Of course, there are no bike lanes, but I have little fear of cars right now. I'm just sick of having to hop in the car (a sedan) to go to either place.

@DrTCombs absolutely! A tax credit would be great. Too bad the US tax credits only target electric cars...
@MolnarSteven @DrTCombs that's some serious mismanagement right there! That's thousands of ebikes that could be bought outright for those with limited means!! What a waste.
@DrTCombs @somcak Here in MA, the legislature seems to have allocated a million dollars to figure out how to give out rebates, but not money for the actual rebates. I'm not making this up:
