funny how often "data driven" is used as an excuse to prop up the status quo

@PedestrianError data, but only the number kind and specifically only the numbers that support not doing anything

After years of dealing with disingenuous use of the “data driven” buzzword, I would never call anything data driven, no matter how much analysis of data contributed to the conclusions about what should be done.

@DrTCombs there is also the similar, yet even worse version of “data driven as an excuse to prop up the status quo” and that is “need more data as an excuse to delay all action.” It is amazing how often the plea for more data is obviously made in bad faith.
