@bikepedantic Then you have to stick an ebike kit on it, which is always a challenge with fat tyre bikes 😖

Very nice, though

@bikepedantic Very "Jones-like" front end and barset there... But I think if I'm gonna spend that kind of money these days, it's gonna be on a Surly Skid-Loader. But that's just me.

@jhermann @bikepedantic without a generator hub or fenders IDK if the apocalypse happens on a rainy night

@bikepedantic needs a magento hub, fenders, and narrower upright handlebars.

@bikepedantic you definitely need it. There's a Salsa long tail fat bike in a used bike shop near me. It weighs less than my little mountain bike. But I already have a GSD and a Big Dummy.

@HayiWena i spend so much time lecturing people (and my kid) about distinguishing wants vs needs, but with bikes, I feel like ‘want’ above some certain level should automatically move into ‘need’ territory with no guilt

@HayiWena @bikepedantic I neeeeeeeeeed a Tig Dummy. Or would that be a Big Timmy?

@Mark @bikepedantic I suspect, or at least hope, that most "steel is real" fanatics will accept this kind of Ti artistry as an exception to their religious tenets.

@workcycles @Mark @bikepedantic As a half-century member of the one true cult, can confirm that this is correct. What it loses in field weld/braze-ability, it pays back in flex and especially corrosion resistance.

@bikepedantic That bike is one of the best excuses ever made for "N+1" because _nobody_ already has something like it.
