If new-car ownership becomes something only for the rich, and only because automakers collude and constrain production, that would suck.

Anyway, i expect that the collusion will collapse the minute someone decides to drink everyone else's milkshake and ramp up production on a people's car. As someone who has actually said the unthinkable-pre-2020 words, "I really like the new Hyundai hatchback, but i can't afford it," i hope it's them.

But even more than that, i hope that maybe we get better carsharing in cities in the short term?
