Cambridge does not get enough glory for getting so many hi-quality bike facilities built on adjacent public space when a developer builds.

A new lab building went up on Cambridgepark Dr, and because the city had good plans and great people who doggedly take advantage of these opportunities, there’s a beautiful, new, and *free* segment of grade-separated PBL, and a new connector trail.

Not many cities have their shit sufficiently together to take advantage of these opportunities.

@bikepedantic Seattle was doing this for a while (don't know if they still are?). Except they were approving some pretty lackluster designs outside of new Amazon buildings. ☹️

@Andres4NY my old stomping grounds in Arlington VA also specialized in approving meh public space around big Amazon developments

@bikepedantic I tried it out today and there’s already a really bad desire line towards minuteman/Alewife linear path. The path wants to send you towards Belmont.
