@bikepedantic This is probably the silliest solution to the problem, but I go into the preferences and request an archive and then I can just go through the outbox.json using tools like `jq` or just a text editor.

This isn't an awesome solution, but if you *really* need to find something you wrote or interacted with and your server doesn't have search enabled, you can download your *archive* and do a keyword search through the giant and not-at-all-human-friendly JSON file that it comes as.

@bikepedantic even if mastodon got search, your instance won’t be updated to support it until about three years later.
