Saw both a Specialized Globe Haul and an Aventon Abound in my wandering today, what a couple of sharp-looking bikes.

@bikepedantic I miss my front panniers. Should see if it’s possible to rig some to the front of a rad wagon

@Kevin @bikepedantic
Not sure what the front of a Rad Wagon exactly has for fittings, but I put a Surly Front Rack on my Big Dummy because nothing exceeds like excess.

@bikepedantic opened up my office bike a few weeks ago to find a brand new Abound. Now I have figure out which coworker owns it

@mrpresident1776 @bikepedantic I'm unnecessarily excited about the Abound for someone not currently in the market. Same price bracket as a RadWagon or Xpedition but with lots of small-medium upgrades (and without the dumb 22" wheels). Dropper seatpost! Folding handlebars! Torque sensing assist!

@MarkT322 me too. Aventon has always made bikes that just look 'right' to me, as well, and the Abound just looks timeless. Trek's $6K Fetch-2 looks a little ridiculous in this market. @mrpresident1776

@bikepedantic local bike shop has the Globe Haul in the store, it looks pretty sweet.

@bikepedantic the big S is s really leaning into their proprietary “kitty litter” boxes, one of the oldest pannier kludges in the dirtbag cyclist toolkit. If you want to spend even more on them, you can get the same thing but it says Fjallraven on the box.
