AMEN: “I find it really challenging to talk about putting EV chargers at the curb when all four of us, we just spent 20 minutes talking about the demand at the curb... but once you put an EV charger there, it can be nothing but EV charging at that particular location on the curb. @bikepedantic Curbside charging is one of those things that seems maybe sensible at first glance but the more you look at it the worse an idea it is, with an extra bonus of it being unnecessary. Putting more charging points in parking lots/garages? Sure. But not curbside.

There are very few people who drive and never end up in a parking lot, and those folks probably either ought to just not drive, or can stop at a fast charger occasionally the same way they stop at a gas station now.
