At a Father’s Day gathering in exurban Mass and took a poll: 10 of 11 adults (who all live in exurbs like Raynam) say they would live in walkable places like Camberville if they were more affordable.

@bikepedantic Pretty much every parent I know *hates* driving their kids everywhere. So yeah, this checks out

@bikepedantic or what about if more exurban and suburban areas were walkable/bikeable/transitable? Or both?!

@Ofsevit @bikepedantic Definitely - like when we were looking to buy a place mid-2020 (WFH in a 2 bed with 2 tiny children is *super fun*), we definitely would've liked to be closer, but now we'd rather not move again. A lot of exurban towns have the bones to be decently walkable and bikable, depending on how much they've been stroadified.

@bikepedantic Same. I’d happily live in a dense, urban area if I had alot more money 😅

@wollman @bikepedantic Decades of policy choice. Agreed. Let’s sure we work for more neighbors 💪🙂
