I wonder if induced demand works for mass transit and bike lanes, too? I suspect that it does. As they said in "Field of Dreams"

@killick yes it does. The 'virtuous cycle' of more transit service to more places, or safer connections to more places, absolutely induces more participation, which itself brings many positive second-order benefits, many of which further encourage creation of more service. That's what earns them the 'sustainable' in 'sustainable transportation'
