That is great to see a protected bump out for bikes! And no umbrellas hanging out into the bike lane either!

@bikepedantic What's that center line for? Is it meant to be a walkway on one side, bike lane on the other?

@bikepedantic (Also, yeah, such a better design. You've got jersey barrier protection for *everyone*, people sitting and eating aren't right up next to idling/honking cars, diners and wait staff aren't needing to constantly cross the bike lane, and without opaque walls there's no dangerous corners where people walking are invisible to people biking.)

@Andres4NY it's a leftover stripe from the previous layout. I think they took more road space for this than the previous 8' parking + 5' bikelane

@bikepedantic @Andres4NY yep - we had an excess area of median/gore striping that was better used as sidewalk extension there.

@bikepedantic @Andres4NY but the eradication coverup markings have faded away over the seasons.
