@bikepedantic On the bright side - there's been a lot of talk amongst parents at several of the schools on the "are you ready for it?" question. And within the broader ANC (on the east), since the line has been on the map for a few years now as a pending project; the February 2022 map had it as a 2023 project (one story is that it's been pushed back due to capacity constraints within DDOT to take on the project)

@LhasaCM capacity likely a real issue. It’s not the most straightforward project, and they’ve had a bunch of churn.

@bikepedantic Definitely - while overall daily volume might not be crazy high (IIRC 2018 volumes were comparable to Ft. Totten Drive by Riggs), the frequency of DPW trucks heading to Ft. Totten using that stretch is non-trivial, along with peak needs. And the topography rules out the fanciful "build a wide sidepath" ideas that I'm sure will be spoken by people who don't want to lose the few parking stretches there.
