Currently trying to choke back my distaste for those planners who will passionately cheerlead for any/everything bike-related EXCEPT a network of safe and comfortable facilities for all ages and abilities.
@bikepedantic I wanted to be angry at this because lack of parking is one of main reasons I'll walk or be driven somewhere instead of bike, but then I realized all the places I've recently been upset about not having parking are on a network of busy shared-use paths, so not the kind of situation you're talking about 😅
@aweech plentiful parking, widespread bikeshare, ebike incentives, etc etc are all great and necessary complements to unlocking the popular demand for them with a usable network
@bikepedantic bike racks in curb extensions is a nice double-dip
Bike racks on every corner would be awesome! And if that diverts a single constrained dollar or hour from developing facilities, please step aside.
