This meal train has been a parade of soups that sound disgusting to me, but are in fact delicious.

I thought that my financial security was ‘insured’ by this policy, but it wasn’t ‘ensured’ apparently.

Anyway, we’ll still be OK. unclear why my wife didn’t murder the insured party, though.

Anyway, I misunderstood exactly who the ‘insured’ person on a life insurance policy is, and yada yada yada, any options where I’d be going SAHD are off the table.

“Help,” cries the journalist, “I’m being held captive by Elon Musk!”

He calls out from the unlocked cage, door wide open, to which he holds the key in his own hands.

“Quickly,” he begs now, “I can’t bear the thought that someone might think I’m paying for this.”

He gestures to the searing blue legacy checkmark, a brand affixed not to his skin, but the cage.

Concerned passerby leave treats at the door, in the hopes he might free himself. But alas, he shall surely starve.

ICYMI: We're still waiting to learn the Mass. Dept. of Conservation and Recreation's schedule for Cambridge's popular "Riverbend Park" car-free events along the Charles River, even though the #CambridgeMA called for the events to start 2 weekends ago. Here's what's we know:

All these blue checks on twitter being like “I want to assure you that I don’t pay for twitter.”

You know what the best way to make sure people don’t mistakenly think you paid for twitter? Stop using twitter.

A week of groceries and the kid, in a vehicle that costs me a fraction of a car, enabled by our cities’ investments in a safe/comfortable/connected network

If you're using it instead of a car, a $7k electric cargobike will pay for itself within the first year:

- No gas
- No insurance
- No registration / license plate fees
- No oil changes
- No parking fees
- Maintenance is somewhere between 1/10th and 1/20th the cost of maintaining a car

According to bankrates.com, the annual cost to *operate* a car is $10,000. A new e-Bullitt will cost $7200 total to own.

Especially if you've got two cars, selling one to buy a cargobike is a no brainer!

Latertoot from nearly-DC: The 1900 Crystal Drive project just looks like a better and better addition to the Arlington skyline every time I see it. I’m so far from being an architectural critic, but these two just look correct.

(More importantly, it’s a huge residential project next to a subway station with ground floor retail and pretty good ped & bike upgrades)

Apparently, my basement level gets horror-movie quantities of ants in the springtime. Good to know.

quick, I need a good April fools joke for a six year old to wake up to.

Very tempted to play the newly-widowed-dad card. I really would like to kill a few weekend hours at Riverbend Park.

👀 What's a bike bus?

Fun fact about the bureaucracy of death: Copies of the death certificate, which are necessary for a wide variety of important things like collecting on life insurance policies, take weeks (i'm still waiting!).

But somehow, social security disability payments get magically cut off immediately.
