When I bought my #ebike, I wasn't yet sure where I'd draw the line between an "acoustic" bike ride and an ebike ride, but I had the sense that I’d find uses for both. That's turned out to be true. I want to talk more about exploring/discovering that line for myself, but I'd rather hear from other riders first.

So: if you own both an electric and an "acoustic" bike, how do you choose between them before a given ride? What kinds of circumstances govern that choice for you?

@IPEdmonton I only have an ebike at the moment but sometimes I turn it off or low… often on bike path segments I just want to go ‘naturally’, unless I’m in a rush. I could imagine choosing an acoustic for transport on flat routes, like if a separated route to my uni is ever constructed, but a lot of my short transport trips have surprising amounts of uphill, and I’m really attached to having power available now.
