Lots of people complaining about disruption this morning, saying about how other countries seem to continue travelling when the snow falls.
What they neglect to mention is the adaptability of the people of those countries. They EXPECT the bad weather (mainly because they get it each year), and ADAPT their daily routines to account for it.
They don't expect life to continue as normal.
@james_gleave2 Czechia literally has snow each winter.Though road maintenance as well as rail network manager get surprised each year about the winter coming.This year,network manager got even more creative.Due to #energycrisis it turned off electric switch heating so the switches on tracks got frozen and trains could not run.Also personel is non existent to clean the switches because they were laid off after the heating was installed.So the experience sometimes doesn’t matter.
