Dear #TRB:
Please do not make us read to the end of the 2nd paragraph to find out our paper was rejected. You do not need to sugar coat it, or tell us how many papers were submitted, or how sad you are that not everyone gets a trophy.
It's ok. Really. Just make it the subject line of the email.

What's fun is when a reviewer is excited about how you used AI tools in your paper when you did not, in fact, use AI tools in your paper.
OMG I just realized that we should probably now assume Reviewer 2 is actually a chatbot.
OK, so the AI chatbot was somewhat underwhelmed by our paper but clearly wasn't shown the methods section.
I really do think we need to start considering what happens when the #PeerReview process involves AI.
@DrTCombs in fact, as a reviewer, I would kind of enjoy this, even if it meant dedicating more time to the task. I review papers in order to learn, and a chance to discuss the merits of the research with someone else would amplify that benefit
@DrTCombs maybe reviewers should submit their assessments live via Zoom call? harder to fake with AI, at least for now...
