Access cover on the main sewage stack in my basement rusted and just fell off, so sewage has been dripping in my basement. This is allegory for like everything.

@bikepedantic we were renting a house once and it was winter and a tree root strangled the sewer line and caused the sewer cleanout valve to crack open and frozen turds shot out into the air and landed all over the backyard.

non-frozen sewage in the basement is far, far worse. I'm so sorry.

@bikepedantic we just had our stack replaced as it’s been weeping for a while. Not fun, not fun for the wallet either.

The hardware store should have a rubber plug that gets fatter when you tighten a center bolt... Plugging the pipe. No need for usable thread

There's also a rubber cap that goes on the outside (like a bottle cap). It cinches tight with a hose clamp
