Again, you’re not inviting me to a birthday party, you’re supposed to be warning me that the “bike lane ends.” Say that instead.

then you are both telling riders what to do and clear with drivers what riders are supposed to do

@bikepedantic i die a little inside whenever I see “bikes may use full lane” because bikes may always use the full lane by law.
@bikepedantic my city's map of bike lanes has some roadway segments marked "bike route". When I first saw that, I thought it was inviting. But it really means that there's no bike lanes there, yet cyclists often use it. It's the opposite of "inviting" and should be a red flag.
