LOOK what we saw on our #BikeToSchool this morning!
It was running toward the street when a car scared it away, but we got a really good look at it and its adorbs black feet.
@DrTCombs
What did the fox say?
@danneau It said, "BICYCLES ARE THE BEST!"
You have to play the song backwards to hear it.
@DrTCombs
Thanks. I would probably have to play the song forwards first, y'know, like, for context. But the bike thing is great.

This is how we wake our kid up in the morning
@danneau wait were you really not making a reference to the song?
that's hilarious!
@DrTCombs
I was referring to the song. I think I saw part of a video clip when hanging with my grandkids a few years back. Obviously, the idea stuck. And I tend to be an associator.
@DrTCombs
Just ran over to your video site. I've been working on our local city council to do meaningful installations to promote active transportation, and may have to refer their sorry little brains over there. They constitute a serious bastion of Chamber of Commerce thinking and can't conceive of anything that isn't part of our current toolkit. My forehead hurts from the facepalms.
@DrTCombs
This is probably a good indicator that your kid will be a well-adjusted if somewhat out-there sort of a person. I got brought up on Tom Lehrer and Mose Allison, have been whacko (quietly) all my life and have managed to navigate society without too much kerfuffle.
@danneau oh we are definitely out there.
Our route takes us past a large, undeveloped wetland corridor, so sightings like these are not uncommon. The animals seem more curious than scared of us on our bikes, and we can usually get a really good look until a car comes along.
My dream is to spot a bear here. We're not in bear country, but this wetland would make a handy migration corridor.
