That’s a scorching $1300 per month (with 20% down!).

And how much do we charge at the meters again? Or for a residential permit? Or a curb cut for a driveway?

Big open question is, if Matt Foley bought it, would it qualify for the homestead tax rebate?

@bikepedantic I'm not too familiar with Boston/Cambridge so I figured I'd run the numbers. At $1300 month and expecting usage 22 days (assuming only used on business days), you'd need to charge roughly $60 for an 8 hour stay, or around $8-10 an hour. It looks like only 30min meters directly nearby costing $1.50 or a surface lot with a 2-hour max for $3/hour. Only a mile away is the Green St Garage, which only costs $19 for 8 hours, or $30 for 24 hours. Municipal is crazy cheap comparatively!

And for the price of four days of parking ($90) you can have unlimited rides on the MBTA with a CharlieCard and/or just ride a bike! (I assume @bikepedantic@transportation.socialalready knows all that as a local, but it was fun to do the research and someone else might like the info)

@bikepedantic Based on how parking is assessed in Cambridge, I'm sure the tax bill will be minimal.
