Been the unalloyed worst five years of my life, starting with that day, and almost all anniversaries are bittersweet at best. This is 40, kids.

@bikepedantic I moved back home to MN two weeks after Dave was killed. A lot changed. Not all bad or all good, but it was certainly a moment of upheaval. The move didn’t have anything to do with Dave, but it was a whole lot of grief and anger and awareness-of-mortality to be sitting with during a cross-country move and complete disruption of routine and sense of place, and I think it had a particular significance to me in that sense.
