It's not surprising that reducing speeds improves safety. It is surprising--and encouraging--that a major city was able to effectively reduce speeds on so many of its main roads!
In a meeting reviewing my supervisor's management competency objectives for the year ahead, and all i can think is:
1. Teamwork,
2. Insight,
3. Brutality,
4. Male Enhancement,
5. Hand-Shakefulness, and
6. Play Hard.
When i yearn for a reality where development happens without developers, it's shit like the upcoming $400K (or more!) My Jimmy Carter story, which I learned is one shared by many:
He flies commercial, and when he does, he makes his way down the aisle and shakes hands with every passenger before takeoff.
