Good article on the headwinds that the new Massachusetts MBTA Communities zoning law will face in Brookline, one of the initial 12 communities that must rezone by end of 2023, and one of only two that is governed by Town Meeting (i still can't believe that "Town Meeting" is a proper noun).

It's not surprising that reducing speeds improves safety. It is surprising--and encouraging--that a major city was able to effectively reduce speeds on so many of its main roads!
