“Rooftop gardens pitched for bus stops as cheap remedy to NYC’s flood problems.”
Neat. But when does transit get its own problems solved, as it continues to solve so many other problems?

We have the technology to prioritize green lights for buses and emergency vehicles. So why not apply similar tech to make dangerous drivers spend more time staring at red lights?

The tent poles of my #health at 47 age are:
1. 30 minutes to an hour of exercise per day. Often running, which strengthens my core back muscles.
2. Whole food, plant-base diet #vegan diet. I'm keeping off 15 lbs vs my vegetarian diet. Low inflammation, fast recovery.
3. Using a yoga ball as a chair. Also helps with low back strength and flexibility.
4. Bike and walk for transportation when I can.

Also, kudos for @cambridgeday giving @streetsblogmass credit for breaking the news of the delay.
Communication has been poor on the GLX trail, but kudos to the T and/or Somerville for taking the hit from us lot to force rework on ADA noncompliant bits. https://www.cambridgeday.com/2023/05/05/community-path-extension-has-another-delay-with-mbta-citing-safety-and-accessibility-issues/
We basically stopped using Twitter for StreetsblogMASS back in mid-November (although our account there still posts new articles from an automated RSS feed). We didn't see any real effect in our website traffic: in fact, 2 of our top-3 busiest traffic months were in December '22 and March '23 (in the chart below you may note the dip in Feb. '23; that's when I was on vacation and we weren't publishing for 2 weeks).

My main selling point to try and bring my blind friends to Mastodon from Twitter is people using alt text. I know I never claimed everyone did it all the time, but still, please don't make me look like a liar! #AltText
