checked my ridiculous rickety cargobike in for long-deferred maintenance, and they seemed genuinely concerned for my safety and comfort with the amount of bad repair that i am willing to tolerate.

front rotor
speed sensor
headset
front hub bearings
rear brake system (likely)
more stuff i've probably forgotten
Refused:
saddle
fenders
kickstand
some of this stuff i could do myself but don't want to, some i could do and think i could live without doing at all... but it's all legit, and I'm happy to cut a check to our great local shop.
@bikepedantic the thought just popped in my head wondering if I could hitch my acoustic bike to my ebike to bike them to the shop for maintenance then ride the acoustic home. Like a bike version of an RV with a car on the back
@femmeUTCD I would have thrown my e-brompton in the front like a bike turducken, but it’s on long term loan to my father in law. Planned to take bikeshare home, but no bikes for miles. 77 bus to the rescue!
